Ford Otosan (Ford Otomotiv Sanayi A.Ş.) is a publicly traded company (18%) in which Ford Motor Company* (41%) and Koç Holding (41%) own equal shares. Since 2004, Ford Otosan has ranked among the top three exporting companies in Türkiye, and has been the automotive sector export champion for the last 12 years and the Türkiye’s goods export champion for the last 8 years. In 2023, exports from Türkiye to more than 90 countries on 5 continents generated revenues of 14 billion dollars. Ford Otosan, which operates in 5 main centers with Gölcük and Yeniköy Plants in Kocaeli, Eskişehir Plant in Eskişehir, Sancaktepe R&D Center and Spare Parts Warehouse in Istanbul, Craiova Plant in Romania, employs more than 23,000 people. Ford Otosan is the most valuable automotive company on Borsa Istanbul. Exporting engineering with more than 2000 R&D employees, it has the largest R&D organization in the Turkish automotive sector. Ford Otosan has all the know-how, capabilities, and infrastructure necessary to design, develop and test a complete vehicle with all its processes, including its engine.
Founded in 1959, Ford Otosan is the largest commercial vehicle production center in Ford Europe with a production capacity of 746,500 vehicles, 437,500 engines and 140,000 powertrains by 2023. Kocaeli and Eskişehir Plants are ranked among Ford's 'Best Vehicle Production Centers'. The Eskişehir Plant is the only plant in Türkiye that can produce vehicles, diesel engines and powertrains in the same environment. In addition to having a long-standing business partnership with its dealers, Ford is represented all over Türkiye and provides maintenance, repair and service services through expert authorized services. It undertakes the design, engineering and production processes of Ford Trucks, Ford's only heavy commercial vehicle brand. With its Ford Trucks business unit, Ford Otosan also assigns distributorships and dealerships abroad and provides service and spare parts services.
Ford Otosan, which also stands out with its sensitivity towards social responsibilities, contributes to the economic development of our country and to increase its competitiveness on an international scale. In line with its corporate citizenship approach and 'Future Now' vision, it carries out activities in many areas such as education, health, culture-arts and sports in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. To this end, it contributes to improving the quality of education by building schools in its regions of operation, establishing laboratories in vocational schools, and providing equipment and scholarships. Ford Otosan, which has been conducting awareness-raising activities on gender equality since 2013 with its "Equality at Work" approach, continues to enter the list by increasing its performance as the first automotive company from Türkiye to be included in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index since 2021. In 2023, in line with its gender equality commitments, Ford Otosan launched the "My Future Dream" project for the development of women in STEM fields, particularly in education and employment.
