Global vision: Our company was founded upon the forging of a partnership between Ford Motor Company and Koç Holding in 1959. We thus offer employees the exciting possibility of working as an expat for a number of Ford-owned companies, such as Ford of Europe, Ford of America, Ford in Russia, and Ford of China. Similarly, we also provide assignments to Ford employees working in different organizations and various positions of the Ford Motor Company on a short or long-term basis. Technology and Innovation: Our R&D facility plays a crucial role in Ford’s global Research and Development projects and proudly holds the honour of hosting major global engineering innovations as the Turkish automotive sector’s largest technology and R&D base. Ford Otosan is proud of its history as a pioneer – not only in building Turkey’s first private R&D centre – but also as the producer of the nation’s first diesel motor engine and manufacturer of its first local automobiles. In terms of career development process, we offer staff the chance to choose their preferred rotation system within the scope of the two various forms of career development available – namely, Leadership and Expertise.

  • Leaders Shaping the Future Program
     

We have designed the Leaders Shaping the Future Program with the aim of ensuring that all our leaders internalize our leadership manifesto and develop their agile leadership and innovation leadership skills in unity of intent, discourse, and action.
 
In line with our vision, the need has arisen for our leaders to adopt a leadership model that integrates our cultural values and principles with agile working principles and approaches to effectively implement our strategies and sustain our growth and successes. At this point, we defined a new concept of leadership for our company based on our cultural values and principles and created our Leadership Manifesto in collaboration with all our employees.


This program, which includes all our leaders, consists of three stages: Senior, First Line-Mid, and Internal Coaches Program. And encompasses various learning methods such as one-on-one creative arts coaching, group coaching, visualizing unique leadership with artificial intelligence, interactive webinars, theoretical training, the inclusion of company agile coaches as internal coaches, and peer learning. The design progressed in collaboration with Senior Executives, HR-Transformation, Culture-Leadership, Agile Coaches, DEI and L&D.
 
Program satisfaction rates are as follows:
Top-Level Leaders 100% (5/5), First-Mid Level Leaders 92% (4.60/5), Internal Coaches 100% (5/5).

  • In the Employee Engagement Survey, there was a 4% increase in the first leadership impact area among office employees. October 2021: 75%, October 2022: 77%, May 2023: 78%, October 2023: 79% 
  • In the Business Agility Survey, the agility level increased from 3/6 stars in 2022 to 4/6 stars in 2023. 
  • Our Business Agility Survey score increased to 67/100, which is an increase of +11 compared to the previous year. The 2023 OKR target was achieved +7 points above.
  • Among 1,800+ organizations worldwide, our company is one of the 6 companies at this maturity level being the only automotive company in Türkiye with 4 stars.

  • Data Science Training Program:

We provide training to our employees on how to understand data, how to model the problem, and how to produce results from data with data mining and machine learning methods so that they can solve the problems they encounter. As a result of these trainings, we aim to educate Data Experts who can combine field knowledge with the latest technology and methods. Our goal is to pave the way for our participants to develop digitally, provide them with access to Ford Otosan technology and help them develop value creating projects in their fields. We provide information about technology, methodology and digital tools through trainings and workshops. We encourage participants to develop project ideas starting from the third week and support them with mentoring sessions in the process.
 
Data analyst and data scientist community was established within the company to serve Ford Otosan's vision of becoming a mobility company and its digital transformation needs. With the increase of digitalization, collecting and sharing data electronically helps to detect and eliminate errors in business processes. With the increase in digitalization, business processes have become faster and more efficient. Automating manual processes saved time and resources. Analytical models increased, projects that increase productivity and reduce costs have been implemented by participants.
 
By the end of 2023, 14 data citizen projects has been developed and, as a result 4.9 Million € Financial Impact was achieved.

  • LiderSEN Program:

LiderSEN Program, designed to unleash the leadership potential of our newly assigned leaders and support them in developing their leadership skills, was created on the basis of “Empowering Leadership” which is one of our corporate culture principles. This program, which is developed with a continuous and multidimensional learning approach, aims at a development journey that will last approximately one year. 40 newly assigned leaders completed LiderSEN program in 2022.

This development program provides:

  • 12 mentoring meetings,
  • Review meeting with their leaders,
  • E-learning, book summaries, articles and videos.
  • Participants have high satisfaction with the program. 2022 satisfaction survey result: 4.6 (out of 5).
